Besides Bielefeld Pride (
2019-06-08) we’ve shown an interest in visiting this year’s Pride Parades of other cities as well.
Mainly the Pride events of cities in the region OWL are planned to be supported by us.
This year represents the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots after which the Christopher Street Day (CSD) is historically named.
We’ll start off this years Pride season on 17th of May, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, Biphobia and Intersexism (IDAHOBIT), with our visit to the Pride Day “Gütersloh verliebt sich”.
Meeting places and times:
After coming together in Gütersloh we’ll go to the Pride Day taking place at Berliner Platz. The event there will have already begun officially at 2pm.
The Pride March will be taking place between 6pm and 6:45pm. Afterwards at 7.30pm the Rainbowflash will be happening.
Everyone who wants to join us but is missing a train ticket may contact our educational staff. (details below)
Currently we’re planning to visit the following Pride events in addition to Gütersloh:
We’ll publish the meeting places and times of upcoming Pride visits on our website a short while before those events are going to happen.
At Cologne Pride we’ll join the rally of Queere Jugend NRW. Some of our contact persons and comitee representatives are involved in planning the march of our statewide umbrella association.
In case you need public transportation tickets for taking trips outside of Bielefeld, we’ve got you covered! Be sure to contact Lisa, our educational employee, early enough via e-mail or in person during our meetings.
